Canadian

The article claims that he was a Canadian politician. I am questioning this, because for the fact that when he was born in 1788, there was no country named Canada. All of the area what is now southern Ontario and southern Quebec, was officially a British colony named Province of Quebec. It wasn't until 1791 when the whole land was split into Upper and Lower Canada. Canada itself, did nto become independent until 1867. Norum 16:31, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
