[edit]The person who has added a lot of material to this article is related to the subject. I've told them to stop editing. There are some sources that can be worked in (please follow the link). Anyone keen? (Daveosaurus—Kiwichris—Akld guy—Ajf773—Hazhk) Schwede66 05:02, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- Checked Gustafson's bio of him, but little there to confirm the recent additions. Kiwichris (talk) 05:12, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Schwede66: The stated tenure at Housing New Zealand is problematical. According to our article Housing New Zealand Corporation, the corporation wasn't established until 2001, being formed out of Housing New Zealand Limited. The material added does not make this distinction clear. It also states that Chapman was Chairman of the Board for Pilkington. Pilkington is a long established British company, and I don't think Chapman would have been chairman of the entire multinational. Rather, I presume he was chairman of the NZ division, as also stated, but once again it's ambiguously worded. This is going to need a good ref. Akld guy (talk) 06:16, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Akld guy: I've amended the history of the Housing New Zealand article; there's no problem on that front. The main source that I've been using (the 1991 Who's who) states clearly that he was director or chair of the New Zealand divisions of those international companies. So all good. @Nzinferno: I've listed below what I've removed from the article. If any of that is stated in the 2004 edition of Who's who that you have, please scan that in and email it to me. If there's anything else that you'd like to see added, please make suggestions accordingly on this talk page to avoid any conflict of interest. Somebody will come along and edit the article for you. - Good work by Jvf in moving Housing New Zealand Corporation to Housing New Zealand, its most recent incarnation, and by both of you in bringing it up to date. Akld guy (talk) 03:35, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
