When did he become an Admiral?
[edit]At the time this George Byron was commissioned a Captain RN promotion to Admiral was by seniority. In discussions of other real and fictional officers I have tried to track how long it took officers to be promoted to Admiral. Officers more senior than Horatio Nelson were promoted relatively quickly. Nelson was promoted to Admiral in less than twenty years.
I'd like to know how long it took this Byron to become an Admiral. Geo Swan (talk) 23:06, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
