Date of birth, year 1929 or 1943?
[edit]"George Ancona (born December 4, 1929)[citation needed]". His Mexican-immigrant parents met in 1927 which fits 1929 reasonably. The German national library gives DOB 1929.[1]
The first published of his 110 books (multiple editions of some) in LC Catalog is Faces by Barbara Brenner (Dutton, 1970); his own writing, Bodies (Dutton, 1973). That US national library gives DOB September 20, 1943, citing ECIP data for Mis Amigos (2004).[2]
The German library does not catalogue any books by Ancona but the two libraries seem to have the same person. {{Authority control|VIAF=216489407|GND=174175736}} {{Authority control|VIAF=85718081 |LCCN=n/78/051709}}
