The person depicted here is possibly Reißwitz father in his dress as civil servant, i.e. "Kriegs- und Domänenrat" (councillar). Criteria are: epaulette, one row tunic, embroideries, distinctions are not matching to those of his son.

Reißwitz son should wear the later uniform of his regiment after 1815, i.e. either royal guard artillery or royal artillery of the line with the proper distinctions. The iron cross should be in the 2nd buttonhole and the white cross of the protestant order of St. John ("Johanniterkreuz") on the left breast between 2nd and 3nd button. The tunic must be with 2 rows of 8 yelow (golden) buttons each. Collar and lapels should be black with red pipings and golden embroideries for the royal guards.
