Redirect
[edit]The PROD I placed on the page was removed for the reason that, as the founder of a major publishing house, the subject seems sufficiently notable; that may or may not be the case, depending on the 3d party coverage of the man, versus the company, but I take the point - he's not a nobody. That being said, the article created by the AlexLevyOne sockpuppet was so sketchy and thinly sourced (at least in a language that people on :en can be expected to read) that it seemed the better course was to create a redirect until such time as a more responsible and competent editor is willing to undertake the task of writing up a proper article. - I think the article on Georg von Holtzbrinck is sufficiently ok by now. Perhaps someone could delete the redirect? I am sorry but I don't know how to do it... Thanks! --PasséVivant (talk) 17:34, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany

- I see no proof he received the Order of the Merit. I have put the notability tag as the German sources are hard to evaluate but it would seem his best case for notability is WP:ANYBIO criteria
The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field.
. If I had to make a decision, my best indication is that he's notable given the sheer amount of coverage in both English and German sources over his being a Nazi. Best, Barkeep49 (talk)
