Glacial features identified
[edit]This is basically a memo-to self as I sit in the doctor's office. At least they have wifI!
SO, NY Times Science article: "An Icy Superhighway Once Carried Glaciers From Namibia to Brazil" [1]. OK, journo got carried away. In essence, a researcher started finding large-scale gaciation features, including drumlins, whalebacks and other signatures of a large glaciation evant interpreted as occurring ~300 My ago. --Pete Tillman (talk) 21:07, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Previous predictions that all the glacier-transported rocks found in Brazil must have been fed by ice streams from somewhere in southern Africa....
