Previous deletion

[edit]

A previous article on Canada was deleted as a copyvio.

I just wanted to make that clear, as he was not deleted on notability grounds. I think the sources in the article at present should by themselves suffice to demonstrate his notability. --Saforrest 05:59, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of Geoffrey Canada

On 10 Feb 2009 I emailed the HCZ (info@hcz.org) to request a photo of GC for use on his article. No reply yet. SteveChervitzTrutane (talk) 02:22, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rdrs

[edit]

I'm not sure this has any value for WP beyond demonstrating the importance of adequate Rrs, but who knows: My first try was "Jeffrey Canada", which produced nothing relevant from the WP search engine, and had as #1 G-hit "of about 6,470" an 2006 interview by Glenn Beck (not on Fox Noise but on CNN!), vs.

about 49,000 for "geoffrey canada".

I thot of four bad spellings of the given name & created Rdrs based on them. Kannada is a language of India, but so far not a Google-attested misspelling of his surname, nor do we have any more compelling misspellings for the country that seem likely for him.

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \bbeacon\.org\b on the local blacklist

If you would like me to provide more information on the talk page, contact User:Cyberpower678 and ask him to program me with more info.

I'm a beginner to Wikipedia. But c'mon. Who could wade thru the jargon here?

The horrible, terrible, no good link takes you to a page where you can order one of his books. Yawn.

So for that apparent criminality this article has an ugly banner across the top implying that deeply wrong things are afoot here.

But how can someone who does not speak this heavy jargon figure out how to fix the mess?

I'm tempted to just erase the banner stuff. But I'm afraid it would just come back like slime on a pond. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WoodyinNYC (talkcontribs) 23:24, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
