what the hell is this about? T boyd 09:06, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's about an Anime/Sci-Fi/Gaming Convention held in Upstate New York. Granted it could use a whole lot more relivant information but if other Anime conventions have articles I don't see why this one shouldn't. 68.236.159.105 18:20, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If someone could expand this article and add a few sources and links, then I feel it would be good enough and notable enough to be put on the RPI template. Danski14 00:57, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good heavens, someone put up an article on my old college convention. And the article could sure use some work. Perhaps I will try to rationalize the history section... someday. --Brianyoumans 00:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Right, someone dumped a ton of info in from Genericon Conbooks (see here). This was very unencyclopedic (Lots of POV problems, informal tone). I trimmed it down to the essentials. Danski14(talk) 22:55, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed Patricia McKillip as a guest at the first Genericon; I checked my diary for the period, and it agreed with my memory in saying that Hal Clement was the sole GOH. If anyone can find a program book (I might have one somewhere...) I'm sure it would agree. Brianyoumans 05:33, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is "modestly sized" still appropriate for Genericon with its recent report of 1351 attendees? I'm not entirely sure if that warrants a change, but I feel like it might. --Vamptvo (talk) 15:57, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
