Keep GAAP on its own.
There is a purpose in having its own page. As a definition it stands alone. Further links are provided and if someone needs more information they can go there. Kristinwt (talk) 21:06, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- What is a purpose? There is third article Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (United States), this one is just mix of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (United States) and Generally accepted accounting principles. It make sense to have one article about US GAAP and one global article, but not three articles.--Jklamo (talk) 21:19, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't know there were three. I thought the request was to merge it into some larger article. Three with the same name different capitals could be redirected to each other. I see the value in not merging it into a monstrosity article.Kristinwt (talk) 21:31, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
Merged
90% of the content here was merged to Accounting standard. Note there are also separate articles:
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (United States)
- Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK)
I'm redirecting to Accounting standard because that works like a disambiguation page and encourages "global" thinking at the outset. Rick (talk) 05:00, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
