This article should be linked with/merged with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Processor_sharing. Half of the processor sharing article describes GPS.

Capitalization

[edit]

I don't see why generalized processor sharing should be capitalized. I would like to move this article to generalized processor sharing. --EnOreg (talk) 22:36, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Justification

[edit]

The "Justification" part is not specific to GPS, and would be better in Network scheduler page, but I do not feel confident enough to do changes in it. MarcBoyerONERA (talk) 16:12, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Details

[edit]

The description doesn't make any sense: "Then, the GPS ensures that, considering one flows i, and some time interval (s,t] such that the flow i is continuously backlogged on this interval (i.e. the queue is never empty), then, for any other flow j, the following relation holds"

First the sentence is a monster sentence, too long to decipher. Second, "One flows i"? Maybe it means "each flow i" ? "Backlogged"? Perhaps it is better to first define this term and the use it without the inline description so that the whole thing makes more sense?
