Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because this is a specific term used in math courses in the U.S., Australia and other countries, and requires explanation. Also, some schools provide different level of math courses depending on pupil level, so some might get algebra whereas others get General Mathematics, and in this context it is important to know what it is and when and how it is taught before or instead of classic math subjects. --Mikus (talk) 02:31, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
Article has been renamed
[edit]As the entry has been renamed from "General mathematics" to a less broad and more specific "General mathematics (education)" I don't see a pressing reason why it should be merged with another article instead of being expanded right here. Mikus (talk) 18:13, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
