I must make clear that in order to enter Intermediate GNVQ you must pass the Foundation GNVQ or a minimal set of GCSE's at D or E grade. The Foundation GNVQ does not need entry qualifications, sometimes open to interview before the student begins the course.

Bias
[edit]"Generally Not Very Qualified". This is bias toward one view. Not everyone thinks the GNVQ is low in quality, there are people that I know have entered some good places of work with an Intermediate. Some people would disagree with this, though not many.
- Where is the evidence that this was said, because the GNVQ was not even an equivalent of the A-level, and I was educated with a GNVQ myself and got further. People are generally becoming stupid every day. Amlder20 18:02, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Furthering on from this comment, I have decided to remove the last sentence as it evidently displays a violation of the following policies: Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability.
I worked hard in my GNVQ, but then someone on facebook told me it had been discredited is this true.. I realise that it's mainly coursework and you can retake the exams anytime. But its still very challenging..
As far as the jokes concerned i didn;t think it was generally not very quailfied but GOING NOWHERE VERY QUICKLY..
- The old GNVQ was ok, but it was no different to your average GCSE/A Level. A GCSE exam can be retaken in November or January, depending on your exam board, the same with A levels, but no one claims these courses to be useless (unless your old and feel young people are having it 'easy'). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.11.223.222 (talk) 19:16, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
"Not worth much"
[edit]I'm not sure that removing the text completely is a good idea. There is a common misconception that GNVQs aren't worth four GCSEs. Weren't GNVQs originally designed for those who struggled with A-levels, or wanted to re-enter the curriculum at a later age? Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 02:12, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
GNVQ in Wales
[edit]"GNVQs were used in a lot of schools in Wales in three dominant subjects: Engineering, Health and Social Care and Leisure and Tourism.". Your correct, but you missed out the subject of Information and Communication Technology, which was a widely used GNVQ course in the South of Wales. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.11.221.164 (talk) 13:57, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
