[edit]I think that the connection of this house with military history as usually imagined is rather tenuous, so I am removing the WPMILHIST template. PKKloeppel (talk) 14:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- The house was built for and occupied by several of the commanders of the Department of the Platte, including George Crook. It is integral to the history of Fort Omaha, which in turn is vital to the history of the Midwestern United States and the U.S. Army's role there.
