Cleanup needed
[edit]I've added the copy edit tag, but wanted to be more specific - this article desperately needs trimming, as well as standard grammar / punctuation editing. I really don't think it's necessary to include seven thousand media quotes about why this band is awesome; a couple should do. It also contains many very long paragraphs which are difficult to read and would benefit from some white space. I got exhausted reading this; I hope someone else can do a better job.

You do all reaslise, its spelled GNE , Kevin told us this :D
Article needs work, but is so non-notable, it's hard for me to get into it. Maybe another copyeditor will try - but to expect us to whittle down something like this...might just leave a stub.Levalley (talk) 01:05, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- After doing a few more bios, I think I got the hang of clean-up. Someone already trimmed this one. It's hard to know, exactly, what is meant in some places - but there are certainly some citations, and the article is an interesting read. I think it's grammatical, etc., now, so I removed the CopyEdit tag. Feel free to contact me on my talk page for more help if needed.--Levalley (talk) 04:17, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- Frankly, it is still full of POV, fancruft and desperately short of sources - a typical Wiki rock music article (sadly). I have added a reference or two, but this still needs serious editing to remove the froth.
"Gene's music was influenced by The Jam, The Small Faces, The Style Council and The Clash." Gene's music was totally influenced primarily by The Smiths. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.167.227.243 (talk) 01:35, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- Once again I have cleaned up the referencing - not that there is too much of that - but the POV and fancruft largely remains. Can anyone with an interest in this combo please help ?! Thanks, - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 14:34, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
