The contents of the Genband page were merged into Ribbon Communications on April 2022 and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.
Still not sure the wikilinks are correct. The article had linked to application server, but not sure that is what this company does. The Wikipedia article is about frameworks like .NET and server-side Java. I changed to application software but that might be too general. Do they mean applications for telephone companies? Or something else? Also IP switch is a redirect to Multilayer switch which might not be what they do. Not sure. Maybe IP exchange sounds more like what they do. Hard to sort through the acronyms and jargon. W Nowicki (talk) 23:41, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This page needs updating following GENBAND's merger with Sonus Networks in 2017. https://www.nojitter.com/post/240173043/genband-sonus-merger-nets-ribbon-communications.
Working on behalf of Ribbon, I am planning to update this page to reflect the new company information, including all the existing history of GENBAND as a company from this page, and including information on Sonus and more recent news that has been covered in the media and has sources. Happy to take this on, as I have time available to make the edits myself. Of course if someone more impartial would like to take on this task, I'm more than happy to share links/data and information with them to edit. FinbarrGB (talk) 14:22, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
