Haoyue L is different from original Haoyue

I don't understand why Haoyue L is considered as a variant of original Haoyue? Besides it is bigger in size, it has an upgraded engine (from Geely's 1.8L turbo to Volvo's Drive-E 2.0 turbo), an upgraded suspension (from torsion beam in Haoyue to multilink of Haoyue L), and a longer wheelbase which means it has a different chassis.

Another important fact is that in the home market of China, the original Haoyue was ceased to produce after the Haoyue L was lanuched. Haoyue L is the actual second generation to replace the original Haoyue. Infinty 0 (talk) 03:23, 24 July 2023 (UTC)

The Proton X90, which looks like a normal Haoyue has an upgraded suspension and shorter wheelbase. The Haoyue L is an extensive facelift with mechanical upgrades.

Well, many.

• Hyundai Santa Fe#TM facelift uses a new platform, with new engine options such as hybrid and plug-in hybrid, 2.4 replaced with 2.5 petrol with new gearbox, with chassis and high-tensile steels improvements and interior revamp.
• Toyota Camry (XV50) facelift, changes consisted mainly of the alteration of most of the exterior panels (only the roof remained unchanged), and window and door seals were improved to reduce wind and road noise.
• Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross facelift is 140 mm longer with a redesigned tailgate, front end, and a new 2.4-litre PHEV engine replacing the 2.2-litre diesel.
• Ford Ranger (P375) received a new front end suspension setup in 2019, and a EcoBlue 2.0 engine replacing five-cylinder engines.
• Holden Commodore (VF) is a facelift of the Holden Commodore (VE) with very major exterior and interior updates. The body shell, suspension and electrics have been thoroughly reworked to reduce weight, improving handling and fuel efficiency. Electronics are upgraded to be compatible with those of more developed GM cars. The automatic gearbox was redesigned. To add, the Ute model has an increased wheelbase.
• Volkswagen Golf Mk7 has a shorter wheelbase, an all-new suspension and a new 1.5-litre turbo after its facelift.
