Gedeon G. Quijano → Gedeon Quijano –
- Middle initial is not needed as there aren't other Gedeon Quijanos around. –HTD 18:40, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Although the middle initial may not be needed, Dr. Quijano's name is almost always seen with the middle initial. This should not be considered uncontroversial, as this is the common usage of the name and should be the article title, with the one without the middle initial the redirect. --150.135.114.58 (talk) 19:38, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- I can't use most of the references (w/c is a bad development, but this was saved in AFD), but looking at the book searches, most do have the middle initial, however, it uses the middle initial for everybody. For those who don't use the middle initial for everybody, it doesn't list the middle initial. See for example, "Jose P. Laurel, national leader and political philosopher - Page 252": "He ordered the disarming of the special agents of Governor Gedeon Quijano of Misamis Occidental, jailed eight " –HTD 04:10, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose Although there are not a vast number of reliable sources found through book or news archive sources, the results with the middle are more than double those without, indicating it is the more common form of his name.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:09, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- Like what I said above, that's because in those references, everyone else has middle initials in their names. These are mostly court cases so it makes sense the middle initial is mentioned. If you ditch those, most of the references do not even mention the middle initial. –HTD 14:02, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
