Workaround with combining short stroke overlay

[edit]

To compose the Ge with stroke and descender, we can use the precomposed character of Ge with descender (ӷ), and apply the combining short stroke overlay (ӷ̵). In Arial, it doesn't look right, but it may in other fonts. FrierMAnaro (talk) 09:18, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unicode characters that have middle strokes don't decompose to sequences that use U+0335, so there's no reason to think it would apply to this one either. Theknightwho (talk) 13:24, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's just a workaround. We need both encoded in Unicode. 2405:201:1E:B152:8D71:2472:433D:1B80 (talk) 15:10, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Both forms of the Ge with stroke and descender, the straight descender (GE WITH STROKE AND DESCENDER), and the already-encoded Enlightenment variant (GE WITH STROKE AND HOOK). 2405:201:1E:B152:8D71:2472:433D:1B80 (talk) 15:12, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
