[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Gowthami.JPG, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Birth date

[edit]

I removed the unsourced birth date. It is often the case that birth dates are added without sources, and many do not challenge them. I am in this case based upon an email form the subject who claims it is incorrect. Please do not restore without a reliable source.--S Philbrick(Talk) 17:04, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Subject name and article title

[edit]

The article is titled "Gouthami", and that spelling is used in the article.

However, not a single source (among the ones I viewed) supports that spelling.

I see

  • Gauthami
  • Gautami
  • Gautami Tadimalla

I think the last is the best (and is the spelling used by the subject in an OTRS email)

I plan to move the article to this spelling, unless there is consensus for something else.

I do see that she is sometimes referred to as just Gautami rather than a full name, but if I recall my MOS correctly, we rarely use the single name, and would explain the common use of a single name in the article, not in the title.--S Philbrick(Talk) 17:30, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't given this a lot of time, but the one thing that is clear is that the old name was wrong. I've moved the article. If there is consensus for a different name, it can be moved again.--S Philbrick(Talk) 19:46, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ANOMALIES (in the Template vis-a-vis the body of the text) : (1) The birth place (Tadimalla) has been mentioned in the Template as belonging to Rajampet Mandal in Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh, whereas Tadimalla village is ( as cited in the textual body ) actually in Nidadavole Mandal in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. (2) The residence of the actress is given in the Template as Amaravati, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, whereas the actress resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. (3) Her marriage to Sandeep Bhatia was in 1998 and divorce was in 1999, as mentioned in both the Template and the text; but, the number of her children is given as 2 (in the Template). Are they twins (? !) ; if not, was there some miracle or some other explanation or something like adoption of another child ? !--Srguntur (talk) 15:40, 30 August 2017 (UTC)-[reply]
