I think this is the same community as Gautam Rajput but the sourcing here is very poor because it is mostly Raj era stuff. - Sitush (talk) 06:26, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The India Today source does not mention Khanzada but does refer to Gautan Muslims and Gautam Thakurs. I've just removed one of the Raj sources, which also did not mention Khanzada but would be considered unreliable anyway. I'm aware that some people think Khanzada = Muslim and Thakur = Hindu but, aside from the newspaper source, I can find nothing to elaborate on this and, indeed, practically nothing else that uses either term prefixed with Gautam. I am beginning to think that we should merge this article into Gautam Rajput, since that term does appear quite a lot in sources. We can cover the fact that they have different religious beliefs in that article. - Sitush (talk) 08:04, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
