Too Little Info
[edit]This article is quite short and provides too little info. For example, is this the ritual performed at the time of marriage or is it performed just prior to (or during or just after) consummation? It would be helpful to have that stated explicitly. Also, a description of the ritual would add to the article, along with any photographs that comply with wikipedia's policy on graphics content.
Also, this article should have categories added to it. There are several that apply. Please visit Help:Categories for more info on wikipedia categories. Dave [[WP:NPP|You can help!]] (talk) 03:12, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit]- Short yes, so it is a stub, put in meat.
- The article is clear, first the marriage would take place, and years later the Gauna, there is nothing graphic about the ceremony, it is like engagement and marriage in other cultures.Yogesh Khandke (talk) 19:42, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

“ | I think the article would be more clear if it explained things more along the lines of what you said above. As a reader who does not come from that culture, I had very little understanding of Gauna after reading the article. From reading the paragraph above, it sounds like this ceremony occurs long after the marriage (which happens during childhood) and it marks the beginning of the couple's life together? Is this what the ceremony is for | ” |
The above understanding is right on the dot, isn't the above clear from the article? Yogesh Khandke (talk) 03:15, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes on rereading it I think it is clear. In fact I thought I had deleted the above comment almost as soon as I wrote it. Sorry. Dave (djkernen)|Talk to me|Please help! 13:00, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
