No Federal intervention against Punch ==

I am surprised to read that Gary Punch had beat former ALP Secretary David Combe for preselection for his seat. I am surprised about it because since David Combe is a former party secretary I would have thought he is someone the party executive would come in aid of. The Federal executive of the ALP has the power to overturn Federal preselections meaning they could have easily overturned Punch's preselection and given it instead to Combe. Anyone know why there was no intervention to install Combe into the seat. The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 23:49, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
