Death

[edit]

TMZ has just reported it... I'm assuming we wait for a representative to confirm it? Rainingtalent (talk) 20:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure we'll be seeing more details soon 204.107.53.153 (talk) 21:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can't figure out how to copy / paste on my cell phone, but an April 1 article in the Atlantic says that he suffered from hyperparathyroidism, which may have contributed to his death. This falls under WP:BLP, so I don't want to add it to the article without adding the reference. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 21:46, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Brad Grey lawsuit

[edit]

Very strange that this article includes no mention of the Brad Grey lawsuit; what's the best place to start on that? 76.169.47.91 (talk) 19:57, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy?

[edit]

The section on Shandling's legacy says his estate was worth $668,000. The very next sentence talks about his estate bestowing $15.2 million to a medical school. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.53.85.242 (talk) 05:53, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a mention of the private trust described in the ref.--Cavrdg (talk) 13:05, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still confused -- if the trust was part of the estate, then the estate was worth more than $668,000. If it wasn't, then the estate didn't contribute $15.2 million. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.217.116.148 (talk) 02:33, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Garry Sharon Roy

[edit]

In 2007, Shandling released Not Just the Best of The Larry Sanders Show, a curated collection of favorite episodes that fans had been awaiting for years. For their patience, they were rewarded with something far more interesting than the normal box set—a series of unscripted, one-on-one conversations between Shandling and some of the big names who had appeared on the show: Sharon Stone, Carol Burnett, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Tom Petty. The idea that motivated these DVD extras was at once simple and complex: Shandling was trying to walk his talk, to coexist with people who meant something to him and to make room for something—anything, even nothing—to happen.

Estate math off

[edit]
Shandling left behind an estate worth around $668,000, which was given to his lawyer and best friend Bill Isaacson… On February 4, 2019, his estate bestowed $15.2 million to benefit medical research…’'

I'm no math wiz, but even I can see something's off there. – AndyFielding (talk) 09:10, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
