Citations Needed

[edit]

There is a reference in this article that is not connected anywhere throughout the article with an intext citation. I will research the citation below and further and try to incorporate it into the article. Ktoconnell (talk) 19:10, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[Desmond, D., J. Grieshop, and A. Subramanium. (2002). Revisiting garden based learning in basic education: Philosophical roots, historical foundations, best practices and products, impacts, outcomes, and future directions.]

[edit]

There are many outdated links on this article in the "Selected Garden-based learning organizations" and "Further Reading" sections. I will updates these links if I have time after revising more prominent parts of the article. Ktoconnell (talk) 19:14, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Revision Plans

[edit]

After looking into the Wikipedia article on "Garden-based learning" I feel there are multiple opportunities for me to improve it. I am looking to improve the following points for an Advanced Writing Course for the Environmental Professions.

  • Needs more links to other articles
  • Could be added as a link from other articles to it as well
  • Wikify organization and format including table of contents of article
  • Some sentences suggest bias as weasel words have been flagged
  • Many links go to closed or removed webpages
  • pictures could be added
  • Adding beneficial information from peer reviewed research

I would also love any advice from anyone else interested in this page! Check out my sandbox to see what revisions I have already done. Ktoconnell (talk) 15:47, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Revision Plans

[edit]

After looking through this wikipedia article "Garden-based learning", I noticed it does not include any information on benefiting students with disabilities; something very important today. I also think it could use some links to better media sources. I will provide a source to support GBL towards the disabled. Media may include pictures and videos to help understand the situation.MaxGentino (talk) 18:17, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

After looking through more of the links in the article. I realized that most of this content is copied and pasted from the source directly. I am going to try my best to either delete some of the information or change it so that it follows wikipedia guidelines. This is a serious problem. I fixed the keys to successful garden based learning projects to meet wikipedia guidelines. Due to the inability to check the other sources, I was unable to check if every paragraph was copied and pasted. I tried my best to edit what I could find.

I added several pictures to incorporate visuals for the new info that I added. I did use a source that is a direct link to a scholarly page. The pdf says "missing or empty", but the link works fine. I hope this isn't big problem. If anyone knows how to fix this problem while still having the correct scholarly source please do.MaxGentino (talk) 19:21, 27 October 2018 (UTC)MaxGentino[reply]
