- In principle it is not a device for spotting wigs but a device registering abnormal activity in a secure place, such as the noise made by drills, bangs of hammers (which have a typical seismological signature) or sounds that are associated with criminal activities. This has led to a lot of false alerts. JHvW 15:01, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
