Controversy
[edit]I removed this section as it's pretty silly. In other songs there are lyrics about all types of religion or lack-there-of (Miracle and Real World). The source was a youtube video where Kai Hansen states "This is where we really come from" before singing "Somewhere out in space". Many bands introduce songs with a gimmick. Using this is evidence would be like claiming Iron Maiden are WW2 pilots from Aces High. 86.149.213.109 (talk) 23:48, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
However , merely updating information that is usually unavailable to by controlled media markets allows us all to figure it out on our own. I found it useful , as I have Birth Control music and glad to see it was carried on . —Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.113.135.10 (talk) 19:22, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
No World Order Article
[edit]If you search for No World Order you get some seemingly not too popular pop album. There isnt even an article for the Gamma Ray album. Could someone with some more experience than me sort this out and create a proper article. The Finnish (I think) seem to have an article already here. We could just draw from that. Thanks. Possible Plagarism?
[edit]I was going through and editing this for style, clarity, and grammar, with a bit of accuracy thown in for good measure, and I realized that many of these paragraphs, or at least parts of them, seem to be lifted verbatim from the history page on the official Gamma Ray website. I would guess that this is a problem. I'm probably just going to try to edit the similarity out of existence, but the structure may still be similar. I'm not quite sure if that's still a problem. Compare the two pages for yourself to see what I mean [[1]] TheKaplan 06:52, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Im sure the band themselves wouldn't have a problem with it. SIGURD42 11:02, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Keyboardist?
[edit]Who is the keyboardist they have in concert? He's in the photo (in the middle), but not in the line-up, not in the former members (where there is no keyboardist), and not on the official site! Is he only an optical illusion in concerts? IronChris | (talk) 04:42, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- His name is Eero Kaukomies, I've added a bit about him to the article.Radagast1983 09:41, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Somewhere Out in Space.jpg
[edit]Image:Somewhere Out in Space.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:56, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Website
[edit]The official Gamma Ray website has recently gone down and the link does not work anymore. Does anyone know why this is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.75.17.223 (talk) 00:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
It seems that they had problems with the domain provider and changed the domain. They explain it in their website's news.[2]

Land of the Free II was not in 07
[edit]It was in 1995... at least thats what it says in the iTunes store in iTunes or in the iTunes store search "Gamma Ray" and it will show that in 1995 was its release date. The other dates in the article are the same excluding Apple doesn't have Majestic (and the "To the Metal! date is delayed by 2 months that's probably when they got it though)... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.219.127.43 (talk) 01:31, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think that's a mistake on Apple's part; they probably put the Land of the Free date on it by mistake (since that was released in 1995). Gamma Ray's official site lists it as 2007[3], as does SPV (the record label)[4]. Alphathon /'æl.f'æ.ðɒn/ (talk) 01:50, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
