Vatican?

[edit]

Is that the Vatican City marked on the "member countries" map? It does not appear on the AASSE website. –Henning Makholm 22:03, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good call on that, I hadn't noticed. I'll see if I can get ahold of who made the map to redo it without the Vatican. I'm terrible at photo stuff. matt91486 22:43, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, it turns out to be a PNG, which is within the range of my gimp-fu. Updated. (I had feared it was SVG). –Henning Makholm 23:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lol i made the map, i like PNG better :) Also i wouldn't be surprised if Swiss Guards would be playing for the Vatican.
[edit]

There is not an error in the list of cities with the linking; it's just redundant to link to the same city twice in the same list, so that's why it isn't linked. It's not forgotten. matt91486 15:44, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In prose it is redundant to give the same link several times in the same narrative. However, I don't think the same reasoning holds for a list. A reader who wants to look up where the games were held in a particular year is not well helped by having to search through the rest of the list to find the first occurrence of the city. On the other hand, I would argue that linking the countries is redundant in all items of the list. –Henning Makholm 15:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category

[edit]

Hi, why not create a category for Games's medal winners? Like in it.wiki it:Categoria:Giochi dei Piccoli Stati d'Europa .. and perhaps a category for the venues used for the Games like Stade Louis II or Olimpico of San Marino... Someone can help me? Not logged

I think it's a great idea, and I'd be happy to help on it. The only issue I see with it is that for the earlier games, I have no idea of how to find out some of that information. But we can definitely put together what we have and use it as a means of creating some new articles for venues and athletes not incorporated already. We could even maybe incorporate templates of some sorts, for some of the major venues, like stadia hosting the opening ceremonies or something like that. matt91486 18:53, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Map displaying entire island of Cyprus

[edit]

Greetings, I have noticed that the map is currently displaying the whole island of Cyprus, whereas the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is not a member state.Cruist22 (talk) 19:04, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See UN RESOLUTION 541(1983) whereby the UN specifically condemns the entity in question. http://kypros.org/UN/scr541.htm — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.7.151.49 (talk) 22:28, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
