Title
Why is this article titled GameGrumps, rather than Game Grumps? They never have it as one word except in usernames that don't allow spaces. --Cleveland Rock (talk) 04:25, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
Notability
Also I'm not even sure if this article has enough sources for notability. There's Kotaku, but that's really a trashy group blog and not a reliable source. There's Destructoid, I don't know if that is relevant. Might be. Anything else?
If not, it should be merged into other pages. --Harizotoh9 (talk) 14:06, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Kotaku and Destructoid are two of the biggest video game related news sites out there, along with Gamestop and Gametrailers. If you're questioning the notability of those two sites then please refer to their Wikipedia articles and if you find it necessary, target them for deletion. Until their credibility is truly in question I find it reasonable to cite them as notable secondary sources.

Steam Train
The Game Grumps do have a spin-off show called Steam Train. Is there a need for a corresponding page and serials list? ZoidXsa (talk) 11:28, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- At this time, i don't think so, maybe a section in the article will do, but since Steam Train is not as well known as Game Grumps, it not needed, also it would make a need for a disambiguation page due to Steam Train already being a redirect. TheMesquito (talk) 21:46, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Editor
Under the editors, it lists Jon Jafari and Barry Kramer as the editors. I'm not sure this is accurate, seeing as in one of the earlier episodes, Jon screams into the microphone and Arin says "Great, now I'm going to have to edit that out." I don't remember the exact episode, but I think it may be one of the Kirby Super Star videos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dinolegs (talk • contribs) 14:24, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
- It was the first episode, and probably was before they figured out who would do what, and it was mentions many times after that that Jon was the editor (before Barry was announced as new editor.) TheMesquito (talk) 07:19, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Proposed merge with Table Flip
Table Flip itself might not meet notability guidelines, and would be most suited for a section in the Game Grumps article as "Spin-Offs" or something to that affect TheMesquito (talk) 19:01, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Completely agreed. It not only falls under the Game Grumps brand, but I can't find any third party articles indicating any sort of notability for it by itself. Hirohiigo (talk) 20:06, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- I fully support a merge as well, no outside notability. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:50, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
- I also agree that the article should be merged due the lack of reliable third-party sources. There appears to be a reasonable level of consensus here, so I am going to go ahead and actually merge the articles. -IagoQnsi (talk) 01:55, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
JonTron redirect?
Why is JonTron redirected here instead of having his own page? He has more views per video than Game Grumps, and has more subscribers than other youtubers who have their own page on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.11.186.75 (talk) 19:12, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- Refer to the JonTron AfD discussion about why Jon doesn't have his own page. The people who made his articles consistently failed to prove his notability per WP:GNG. That being said, I think the redirect to Game Grumps is silly, and there's a discussion about the redirect taking place right now. Hirohiigo (talk) 20:34, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I think, since on the AfD page people wanted to merge it(as in using the information from that page and using it here), there should be some information about him than just "comedic game critic". Harffman (talk) 05:58, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
Source issue
Someone please explain to me why primary sources don't count in the case of the number of subscriptions. Where else would you possibly find this type of information? Monotar (talk) 23:31, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
Secondary sources would note it. --Harizotoh9 (talk) 14:31, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
To expand, on Wikipedia "We" don't really write the articles. The articles are dictated by the secondary sources. They decide what is and what is not relevant to include in an article. So find a secondary source which includes information on the number of subscribers. --Harizotoh9 (talk) 14:06, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Can the automated Youtube counter really be noted as a primary source though? It's not possible to simply edit your view and subscription numbers as a user, not even as a Youtube partner. Monotar (talk) 12:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
A youtube counter is the definition of a primary source as it is pure data. Once a WP:RS comments on the number of subscriptions it makes it notable information. Drewder (talk) 05:31, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Jontron Article
Shouldn't a page/article be created for JonTron? I don't see why it hasn't happened yet. I believe that there is plenty of information and he is definitely worthy of it. So why doesn't it exist? HunterxEditor (talk) 16:14, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- I agree, and actually I started on a dubious user space draft a little while back -https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Elzbenz/sandbox/Jontron . It's completely open if anyone wants to help with that; be bold, I'm not that confident about what I have. Also feel free to just start from scratch somewhere else if someone would prefer. So, South Park gave Game Grumps a shout-out. Very subtle, but it was there. Here: That's pretty cool. PokeHomsar (talk) 05:04, 12 December 2016 (UTC) |
