Proposed merge with List of woredas in the Gambela Region
[edit]I'm not sure what the point of discussion is here. I'm creating a parallel page for each region of Ethiopia that lists its woredas & -- if there is a demand -- its cities & towns. Although the list for the Gambela Region is admittedly short, I'm not clear on what would be gained by merging the two. -- llywrch 03:11, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- When I added the {{merge}} template, the list seemed pointless, but if you think you can improve it enough to warrant a separate article, by all means remove the template. Gyre 03:00, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Map of administrative boundaries
[edit]On the Ethiopia map are the boundaries between Gambela Peoples "state" and Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples "state" in the south east accurate? They differ from ESRI's 10.1 admin maps and GADM ETH_adm1 Ethiopia map. The boundary in the north portion between Somolia "state" and Oromia "state" also seem slightly different but it may be projection related. Crossposting to country level. History of Gambela
[edit]Gambela i think was part of Sudan and was "given" to Ethiopia when the British left Sudan alone, if anyone can add to this history and put it here it would be great.--Halaqah 21:06, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
