Rationale for disambiguation page
[edit]There were multiple stations in Galion, Ohio. Two were passenger stations. Having only the Big Four Depot (later, New York Central depot or station) by a redirect obscures the existence of the Erie station that was on a major line to Chicago.
The Erie station lasted almost as long as the Big Four Depot, until 1970. That station, at South Market Street, was a significant stop between Mansfield on the east and Marion to the west. Examples of major trains stopping at the station during the mid-century era: in 1940: the Midlander, Erie Limited and Pacific Express (westbound) and Atlantic Express (eastbound). It also serve the Lake Cities (train), which was the last train using the station.Dogru144Dogru144 (talk) 18:55, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
