Out of date

Events of the last 12 months - changes of ownership, redivisioning and commercial restructuring have left this article a long way out of date, and containing significant inaccuracies. 77.102.37.88 (talk)

The article is now even more out of date. Current state of the company structure is completely different from documentation here. Not sure I could source secondary references, but some of the discrepancies: The Sportpress web site was sold several years ago, the Gala Casino division more recently (2013), Eurobet is a non-trading brand except in Italy, and the remaining divisional structure is completely different. 86.5.118.134 (talk) 18:04, 28 June 2014 (UTC)

Per the statement by 77.102.37.88 above the Gala Bingo in Gateshead has had a revamp recently. Is it worth noting? MM (Report findings) (Past espionage) 09:46, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Article split and rename

This article is a bit of a jumble because it tries to be the article about both Coral and Gala, which have been two separate companies for most of their existence. I would propose to split out the history of Coral to Coral (bookmaker), which would cover Coral from its founding in 1926, to its time as a subsidiary of Bass, to its time as Coral Eurobet, then as a subsidiary of Gala Coral, through its absorption into Ladbrokes. Then I would move this article to Gala Bingo, which would cover the Gala business from its genesis as a division of Bass, to its time as a standalone company and then as Gala Coral, to its present status as a property of Caledonia Investments.
