Incomplete tag
[edit]I've tagged this article as incomplete because it's mostly functioning as a glorified disambiguation page. It should include information on the history of Gaelic games; Gaelic Athletic Association#History would be a good place to start. Gaelic revival also speaks to this, along with some of the broader trends associated with the revival in Gaelic culture. --BDD (talk) 17:15, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- I've removed the tag because I disagree that the article is incomplete. There are large articles already on the GAA, hurling and football, etc., already referenced in the article - no need to repeat the information. However, the term "Gaelic games" is very common (at least in this part of the world). I'd like to see the article stick to the sporting side of things - I've seen how articles on Gaelic culture can expand to discussions on ancient Celts and modern Galacians, and we don't want that here. - I agree that it's incomplete and at the very least, it needs more on history. Hence, I've downgraded it to C class. Schwede66 18:21, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
