Plot section
[edit]The plot section I've added is approximately 600 words long, which is the suggested length according to the style guidelines. If you're wondering why I wrote 'archangel' as 'Arc angel,' it's because that's how the term appears in the media kit for this film. Spelling of demons names also tallies with this document, even though many are more commonly spelled differently. The characters I've mentioned by name are correct (I think), but I'm not entirely confident I know who the seven Arcs and the seven Fallen actually are. The six Arcs I know are: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Ithuriel, Amitiel, Uriel... I don't remember the name of the seventh. Anyone? The Fallen I'm confident on are: Sammael, Asmodeus, Lilith, Ahriman, Balan. The ones I've guessed from the IMDB character list are Baliel and Molloch, but I can't really be sure of their roles in the film. Anyone know for sure? Iscaria 12:01, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- 124.188.67.216 there's no reason to substantially shorten the plot summary: 600 words is the perfect length according to to style guidelines for film articles, and it keeps the length of the plot section in keeping with the length of the other sections. If you were trying to remove the spoilers, keep in mind that it is wikipedia policy that it is not acceptable to delete information because it spoils the plot. Thanks for catching the mistake I made in the cast list. Iscaria (talk) 02:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- 124.188.67.216 again drastically shortened the plot section. I am beginning to suspect that this IP address may belong to a person involved with the production of this film who is trying to keep the plot of the film surprising for as long as possible. Unfortunately, it's significantly decreasing the completeness of this article and goes against wikipedia policy. 124.188.67.216, please come here and talk about your intentions. Else, this article may need to be partially locked. Iscaria (talk) 22:10, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
I've confirmed the names of the 7 Arcs and 7 Fallen from the Supanova podcast: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Ithuriel, Amitiel, Uriel, Remial. Sammael, Asmodeus, Lilith, Ahriman, Balan, Baliel, Molloch. Iscaria (talk) 08:37, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
I got the US dvd of Gabriel but there was no post-credits scene at the end. Where should this be explained on the page. Starmage2 (talk) 00:01, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
GA on hold
[edit]Hello. I'll be doing the Good Article review for this article. Here are some things to fix before I can pass the article:
- Per WP:LEAD, the lead is supposed to summarize all the main points of the article, and for an article this size, should be three or four paragraphs. I would add a little more about the plot and maybe more about the production (esp. financing).
- Shane Abbess doesn't need to be red linked three times in the infobox. Once is enough.
- Some of the plot is rather choppy. Try combining some shorter sentences together. For example: Each side has sent seven warriors: Arc angels from heaven, Fallen angels from hell. They must assume human form to enter purgatory. --> Heaven has sent seven Arc angels, and Hell has sent seven Fallen angels to battle, but they must assume human form to enter purgatory. - that isn't the best example, but you get the idea.
- What is The Light? Is it literal or figurative? explain.
- Actually, the whole article could use a thorough copy edit.
- Make sure in-line references are in numerical order. There are at least a couple of times where this is a problem, especially in the reception section.
- How did the DVD sales do? In Australia? In the US?
The article will remain on hold for one week, and then I will decide whether I can pass or fail the article. Thanks and good luck! Nikki311 21:12, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- The week will be up in a few hours, but I am going to go ahead and fail the article because these concerns have not been addressed. Nikki311 03:37, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Budget
[edit]This change [1], changed the budget from $150,000 to $200,000. While I have read that the budget was close to $150,000 [2], the official site states that it was just under $200,000. Given that there might be confusion over the issue, should this be referenced? DigitalC (talk) 08:03, 27 May 2008 (UTC).
- I just noticed that elsewhere in the article it is referenced as being $150,000, using the following RS as a reference [3]. ? DigitalC (talk) 08:06, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
YO, on the Gabriel OFFICIAL website, there was a post on pre-production work for the sequel...souldnt that be added here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.4.186.6 (talk) 15:42, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
