Follow-up observations
[edit]Have there been any follow-up observations as there were with GW150914? E.g. [1] Fig (talk) 16:37, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
How well defined is the arc of possible source directions
[edit]Presumably the delay between the two sites defines a celestial arc where the merger took place. Can we describe or show it ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:53, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
- The Abbot reference gives signal first seen at Livingston with delay of 1.1 +0.3 −0.3 ms later at LIGO Hanford (so a wider cone angle than from the first detection) - Weaker signal probably means they can't locate along the arc (unlike the first detection) - Rod57 (talk) 13:25, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
