GR11 confusion
[edit]I think there really are two paths: one in the Pyrennees and one in Ile-de-France. I found a description of the IdF one on the gr-infos.com website. That website could possibly be useful, but I wanted further opinions so have left a message on the reliable sources noticeboard. The numbering of the IdF path is consistent with the general principle that GRs 1, 2, 3 etc. are major routes and 11, 12 are in the same region as 1; 21, 22 in the same region as 2, etc., and again with the 3-digit paths. - The Spanish GR11 is a Pyrenean path, and crosses into France occasionally, could this be the source of the confusion? The FFRP site lists the GR11 only in the Ile de France. seglea (talk) 00:05, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- France and Spain each have a GR 11; both countries use the GR abbreviation: Grande Randonnée in France, Gran Recorrido in Spain.
