Talk:GPS timing
Clarification requested
[edit]I came to this article because one of the things I do here at WP is watch articles that link to the disambiguation page Bandwidth, and try to fix the links to a better page, usually either Bandwidth (signal processing) or Bandwidth (computing). The instance of ambiguity I found here was:
- Precise synchronisation is vital in today's wireless infrastructure, allowing the flow and control of data to enable faster speeds and efficient use of available bandwidth.
I am not sure which of the meanings of bandwidth applies here, because it is not clear whether efficient use applies to the ranges of available radio frequencies (this is wireless communication, after all) or an available bit rate (this is also talking about data transfer). Part of the problem is that there is not enough of an explanation of how or why precise timing matters; it is simply stated that it does with no reason. If this explanation were expanded to include more detail, it would make the section much more interesting and useful. CosineKitty (talk) 13:43, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
