Note about the speedy deletion tag
[edit]I can see why in some ways {{db-g11}} seems to fit this page like a glove, larded up as it is with so much over-enthusiastic promo-speak frou-frou, but it has been around since November 2009. The following seem to have contributed the most to this:
- user Swatikrish (talk · contribs) - page creator in 2009
- user Rajsiddharthb (talk · contribs) - a couple of hundred edits in 2014
- user Kettavan Dinesh (talk · contribs) - a dozen or so edits in 2017, put "G.D" on his/her userpage
- user Dhananjayangovind (talk · contribs) - ~70 edits to this page and other G.D.-related pages, most in 2020
I'm not certain that speedy deletion is appropriate, I shudder to think how melodramatic an AfD might become, and the whole mess has me wondering if he really exists (even the photos look like he was photoshopped into them), so, just putting my bewilderment out there. – Athaenara ✉ 14:50, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it appears that substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material, e.g. Scroll.in (2018) "G Dhananjayan is a familiar name for those in the movie trade, especially in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. As a producer, Dhananjayan’s credits include Sankat City (2009), Kanden Kadhalai (2009), Mugamoodi (2012), Anjaan (2014) and Irudhi Suttru (2016). He is equally known for dispensing wisdom on the movie business through his columns in Galatta Cinema, The Hindu Tamil and The Times of India. His writings cover a range of issues affecting the film industry, from writing good scripts to finding producers to understanding the film market, finances, upcoming trends and genres."
