Prose

[edit]
  • The G. D. Sweet Famous Players was a theatre company → "The G. D. Sweet Famous Players was an American theater company" (in American English, the spelling is 'theater')
  • Do we know when the company was founded?
  • Sweet moved from → "He moved from"
  • Sweet was described as "a showman" and "a large, imposing man, given to cigars and pearl-gray hats worn jauntily" — by whom? We'll need inline attribution as to who believes this.
  • Various times in the prose, "Sweet" should be replace by 'he' or suitable pronoun.
  • Author Marjorie Holmes wrote, "'Hi, G. D.!', — the comma here after 'wrote' isn't required. Better replace by a colon sign (:)
  • Several places where comma is just used to introduce a quote should either be removed or replaced by a colon sign (:)
  • Do we know the name of "Mrs. Sweet"?
  • words like "hell" or "damn" were never used — Why are these particular words used? Were these words common in performances by other companies? Is so, it should be specified.
  • I don't know why those words weren't used or if those words were common in performances by other companies. I added the fact so readers would have a better idea of how the performances were. I could remove it. SL93 (talk) 23:10, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • "one of the most comical offerings ever presented on the stage." — we'll need a citation immediately after this quote.

Thats it
