Confusing station description re intercity and metro services

[edit]

The descriptions I find in the citations of this enormous train station indicate that the second underground level serves the metro area trains for Shenzhen. Yet, there is a separate article for the metro station, with no clear indication that the metro station and the high speed rail station are part of the same structure. If I have completely misunderstood the station construction, please educate me. I have not been to see the station, so I learn this from what I read. I added text given what I understand. There are more sections now, so new text should go in the sections, and not all crammed into the lead (the text before the table of contents appears). The lead is meant to be a summary or highlights of the article, not to be the article itself. Last point, if this is what I think, a station serving both metro and intercity trains on its two levels of tracks and platforms, can someone who knows how, add that to the infobox? There is a line in the infobox with a comment to that effect, that is, please add the metro service name here if metro area trains are served by the station. --Prairieplant (talk) 23:04, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stations are functionally integrated sharing the same entrances and concourse. A merger would be relevant as at London Bridge station, Beijing South railway station, etc.   JaJaWa |hello  19:04, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
