Rankings in lede

[edit]

User:SamsungFuqua has begun an edit war to include rankings and admissions information in the lede of this article, stating that "All info properly cited. This page is constantly over edited by content editors. Please compare this page to any other business top school as they all have similar lead-in information." The information is cited; I don't dispute that. I don't think it's at all accurate to state that "[t]his page is constantly over edited by content editors" as the article's edit history isn't terribly active at all. And I have little interest in comparing this article to others when we have more relevant guidelines and project-wide policies that are more appropriate and helpful.

To be blunt, it seems promotional and undue to include specific rankings in the lede of any college or university article. The lede should be a summary of the body of the article, not a selection of specific facts that one editor has chosen to highlight especially when there appears to be a promotional motivation. Lists of non-WP:N

[edit]

These lists are too long, and, I think, should only include those with articles on Wikipedia. I had deleted the non-WP:N, but restored it because it turned out to be such a big deletion. I think we have to draw the line at those with pages on these lists, though. 107.15.231.35 (talk) 04:16, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting inaccuracies

[edit]
  • What I think should be changed (include citations): William Boulding's term as dean of The Fuqua School of Business ended on July 31, 2024. Mary Frances Luce took over as interim dean on August 1, 2024. The Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation should be updated to Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The Center for Financial Excellence should be removed as it no longer exists. The Center of Health Sector Management aims to prepare impactful leaders by providing practical knowledge and skills that apply to the health care industry.
  • Why it should be changed: Current info is inaccurate
