Comments from Aoba47
  • In the first sentence of the lead, the placement of the phrase "by American vocalist Barbra Streisand" directly after the link to the film could lead to some misinterpretation that the film was also by Streisand. Also, there are a few tracks on the album that are not performed by Streisand (tracks 5, 12, and 14). You could follow the lead of the first sentence from the Evita (soundtrack) article to address my first point. I would also recommend updating the infobox to Barbra Streisand/various artists to reflect that there are other performers on the album as well.
  • I do not believe the phrase ", who is also the lead role in the film." in the lead is necessary. I think it can be removed and the meaning would still be clear.
  • Replace "would certify" with "certified" in the lead.
  • What do you mean by "an additional version" in the lead? Could you be a little bit clearer about the difference between the original version and the additional version? This is more of a clarification question as it may be fine as it currently stands.
  • I would remove the phrase "did manage to" as it is a little editorial for my taste and just say "peaked". I would also remove "Despite not reaching the main charts in the United States and Canada" as it does not add much to the sentence.
  • I would revise this as the word sounds odd to me (The songwriting for the song). The repetition of song in such close proximity may be the reason.
  • You can remove "being" in the phrase "being performed solely by Streisand".
  • I do not think it is too big of an issue for this stage (GAN), but I would caution you to be careful with relying too much on quotes in the reception section. Again, this is more of a note if you would like to work on this further after the review as I do not think it will impend the promotion to GAN.
  • I would suggest moving the AllMusic review to around the end of the reception paragraph to transition from positive reviews to negatives one a little more seamlessly.
Final comments.
  • Great job with this article. It was a very interesting read, especially since I know absolutely nothing about Barbra Streisand. Once my comments are addressed, I will pass this. Aoba47 (talk) 14:24, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
