[edit]Since there were no plans posted in this talk page, I've gone ahead and expanded it to include a more complete description of the exhibition itself, as well as critical responses to the exhibition and a basic description of the exhibition concept. I also added a number of further sources. Another editor worked on adding the full list of artists who participated in the show. I think these edits have probably addressed the concerns about lack of information, limited sources, and unclear importance, but I can add further sources (Mori Art Museum exhibition catalogue on Metabolism from 2011, Museum of Modern Art catalogue for Tokyo 1955-1970: A New Avant-Garde, a 2007 interview with Arata Isozaki in 10+1 magazine) that help establish it's importance.
I also considered adding a section on the term "kankyō" that addressed its use by this group and the implications of that use, but since it's still under debate how best to understand the various implications of that term I was afraid this would stray into original content territory, so I instead stuck with outlining critical reception of the exhibition. However, I'd be happy to collaborate with another editor on adding a section on "kankyō" if it seems necessary.--Video Researcher Nina (talk) 17:47, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
