Page Move

[edit]

Moved the page from East Friesian (sheep) to East-Frisian (sheep) for that is the only correct spelling of the name. -The Bold Guy- (talk) 14:42, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is not true at all. I am undoing the change since it's controversial, let's get a consensus before a move. All the sources used in the article spell it the old way, and it is by far the more common English spelling. Let's see some evidence first... Just type in Frisians or Frisia or Frisian language. All is written with "Frisian" instead of "Friesian". -The Bold Guy- (talk) 07:16, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We're talking about the spelling of a pronoun for a sheep breed. It's not about the correct spelling of the region, it's about what the name of the sheep is. No one spells the name of the breed Frisian, according to the source material. If it's not spelled Frisian in sources, we don't spell it that way. Why is 'sheep' in () ? Seems confusing.Bushop (talk) 15:17, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
