There is a non chain drug store operated by a pharmacist whose father before him owned and operated the pharmacy. The pharmacy has a soda fountain with five cent cokes. It offers prescriptions by mail.

There is a cotton gin in the town.

(My information is based on a trip to Friendship in November 2006).

The Bank of Friendship is one of the main buildings on top of the hill in Friendship, TN. Surrounding buildings are now being renovated and restored. The Friendship Market has always been the town's grocery store, once owned by Scottie Nash (Nash's Grocery). The pharmacy is owned by Ham Haley and is operated with his son and other close family and friends. It still has the original building structure and design with a few perk ups along the way. Once upon a time the town had a bicycle shop, watch shop, dry goods store, furniture store, few beauty salons/parlors, billiard room, laundry mat, pizza, clothing, and several other businesses. It has fallen short over the years but the old town friendly welcoming still rings true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.183.107.93 (talk) 14:57, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
