"The Friary" v "Friary"
[edit]According to Wikipedia:Naming conventions we should avoid the definite article ("the") and the indefinite article ("a"/"an") at the beginning of the page name - although some exceptions are recognised. Do we have some sources eg BANES who use "The" in the name of the hamlet? If not "Friary, Somerset" might be the most appropriate name.— Rod talk 19:07, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- It is known locally as The Friary, although most documents and maps refer to it as Friary. Jon H (talk) 19:31, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- I would suggest then moving it to "Friary, Somerset". Any objections?— Rod talk 19:43, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
