Photo Controversy
[edit]Unmentioned in the Controversy section of this article is the fact that Davis's topless photos were for profit for an Internet porn site that specialized in underage pornography (though Davis herself was over 18 at the time.) In addition, it is reported that Davis did rather more than simply pose topless in her photos. In comparison, Barba's most notorious topless photo was of her and three friends sunbathing on the beach and seems a harmless schoolgirl prank - they'd removed the tops of their swimsuits and posed with their arms carefully crossed across their chests. (The more revealing sexual photos purportedly of Barba are now generally accepted as hoaxes.) The section implies that Davis's photos were fundamentally equivalent to Barba's and the only material difference was the race of the models. I find this intellectually dishonest and perhaps warranting a POV review from an editor. 72.73.214.14 13:50, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
I actually saw the pictures a while back (they're probably online somewhere), and she was not topless in them at all. She's essentially wearing a revealing outfit and posing seductively in those pictures. I think this article should site some sources that really confirm the nature of the photographs rather than just report on early rumors about what those photographs were, and I'd like to know where the person who posted before me got that information. My understanding is that the rumors initially were that she appeared in pornographic pictures, and that even though the website had an offensive title ("Daddy's Little Girls") there was no child pornography in it, and the pictures were really tame, not pornographic.
