[edit]Regarding this article on this French Ship: I believe the name of the ship is L'Orient not Orient. Also once the name of the ship is corrected there could be link for it to the "Battle of the Nile" which is an article here at Wikipedia... Link: <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Nile>
Agree, all references to the ship call her L'Orient. Article should be renamed, and a link made on the disambiguation page of L'Orient to distinguish it from the French town.129.234.4.10 15:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- The name is Orient. The "l'" is an article, which is not part of the name. Just like you say "HMS Victory" rather than "HMS the Victory". Rama (talk) 21:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Considering the Ocean was over 5000 ton displacement, 2700 for L'Orient sounds a bit low, right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spearman (talk • contribs) 16:18, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- I am not certain that I understand very well. Could you rephrase ? Rama (talk) 21:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I misread the names of the ships. Yes, a quick check in the Dictionnaire de la flotte de guerre française confirms your 5000 tonne figure. Well spotted. Rama (talk) 21:27, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
