A lot of the stuff that's said here is going to need citations for this to become more than just a stub. Motorola played a huge role in early home computing.

Fab-less?
Does Freescale semiconductor have their own foundry/fab? Or are they fabless? It'd be good to include this info if anyone knows it. MOXFYRE (contrib) 00:08, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
