This show is confirmed to be a part of the Arrowverse in much the same way as Vixen, whereby featured characters are voiced by their live-action actors. If an article confirms the appearance of a live-action Arrowverse character in the show, is it not then appropriate to assign the relevant actor name to the character in the cast list. Looking for consensus to avoid edit warring. Daff22 (talk) 10:38, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's not appropriate to assign the relevant actor's name. If you look at the sources for Vixen, you'll see that they state the actor's names. For the names to be included here, you need to include a source for them as well. All these sources state is that the character will appear. -- AlexTW10:47, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, what the source says is " Expect some lighthearted superheroic fun and guest appearances by a few friendly faces—like The Flash’s Cisco, Arrow’s Mr. Terrific and fellow CW Seed star Vixen ", so talking about guest appearances from specific shows, which is more detail than simply saying the characters will appear - they are confirming that they are the same characters (ergo same voices) as in the other live action/animated shows Daff22 (talk) 11:11, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It states the character, yes. It does not state the actors. To include content in the article, the source needs to explicitly state what's being added. -- AlexTW11:19, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It is possible that when the character appears, he may have no dialogue, hence no actor can be credited for that. Like how Mark Mardon (Weather Wizard) had no voice actor for his appearance in Vixen season 2 since the character did not speak at all. --Kailash29792(talk)15:26, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not certain on the number of episodes for FF:TR. This source (already included in the article), states It's a script that covers 12 episodes and the first six episodes of The Ray: Freedom Fighters are available to watch via CW Seed. Nowhere does it specify season. The reason that I post this is because this source for the home media release states There were 6 installments in the first season, each around just 6 to 8 minutes per episode. Do the second six belong to a first (somewhat specified by denofgeek, but it never specifies a season) or second (as indicated by tvshowsondvd) season? -- AlexTW02:22, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I was literally going to post something along the lines of this question a day ago. I think the 6 that have released are one season, and the next 6 are going to be another season. The fact that there has not been a release of a new batch of them since the initial 6 came out leads me to believe this. Also, that would mimic Vixen. I don't see an issue with us adjusting what we have to state this. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:49, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Here's an interview with Tovey where again he confirms it's 12 episodes, and says someone's just told me from CW that it's their highest-rated show on CW Seed at the moment, so it's like, 'surely a second season of Freedom Fighters: The Ray is in the bag! That seems to indicate that those 6 remaining episodes are not part of a potential second season. Though, that TvShowsOnDVD source is quite good to refute this. I don't mind either way. - Brojam (talk) 04:09, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it's a split season situation? 12 total, with 6 released Dec 8, and the other 6 at another moment? But as I said, I could also see it being a season 1/season 2 situation as well. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:15, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's definitely a split season situation. Just not certain if they will consider it one entire season split in two or two completely separate seasons. - Brojam (talk) 04:20, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, for now, we list the sentence currently stating The first season is set to comprise twelve episodes. as A further six episodes are in development for the series.; home media release could state The first six episodes of the series are set to be released on home media... etc. That is, until an announcement for the release of those six episodes is released, and we see if they're advertised as a continuation of the first season, or as a second season. -- AlexTW05:29, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
